Don't do anything until it's needed. Take it to someone experienced with these cars for inspection. The description of the work is comprehensive.

Congrads and the new inter cooler boots alone have saved you alot of time and effort right there! Welcome aboard!
You can be the first to start a "I got no problems with my 951...I just drive it" thread!

How recently were these done? not suprising to find a 951 owner with a LARGE pile of receipts of "recent" and not so recent work done.

Hopefully you are willing to continue the previous owners trend of doting on your car.

Congrats!

The '89 944 Turbo came with a K26/8, not a K27. The easiest way to determine what you have while it's in the car is to measure the compressor inlet. You should get a wideband O2 sensor and aftermarket boost gauge if it does not have these already. Also, the boost enhancer is not needed with the MBC.

Pics or it didn't happen!

BTW, for $4k you got one hell of a deal on your 951.

I, on the other hand, got royally screwed in comparison!!!

Default MaxxHP Chip

I too recently purchased an '86 951 third party advertised as "stock". I bought a Russel Berry MaxxHP DME chip for $210 to enhance performance. After tracking down the previous owner I learned he had done many mods, including a Vitesse
MAF chip...no need for the MaxxHP! I still have it in the original packaging, never installed, and for sale for $150. Might be a nice addition to your semi-stock setup?

Very nice list for 4K! +1 on Lart....if you're on a budget, you might get lucky and find a matching color fender.
