Where can I get rubber intake hose to replace J boot
I have been thinking about replacing the J boot that is in between the turbo inlet and the stock MAF. Where can I get components like these. I know people build thier own turbo systems on cars and they must get this stuff somewhere. My intention is to get rid of the bend in the intake so that I can have a cone filter behind the headlight. I am staying with the stock MAF. I have seen at least one kit for $700!!!, but I want to do this one step at a time. Of course anything I do will have to take into consideration the blow off valve and the other tubing that comes off the J boot. I have Corky Bells book Maximum boost. I may have to delve into this more.

Hi John,
It just so happens that I am building some of these J pipes right now for other list members. They are tig welded and can be purchased in either powdercoated silver finish or polished stainless. I also produce a very nice set of 2.5" diam. intercooler pipes to complete the set. Lukesilver86951 Just bought a set. Check them out and e-mail me with any questions.

I'm not looking for intercooler pipes. I am looking for something to replace the intake boot.
This is what I want to replace:

Thanks Luke your J pipe is in progress. I just didn't want it to beat your new turbo to you. That would be depressing, all those beautiful new parts and all you can do is look at them. "Slowly but surely", we have all been their. And yes I do make a nice J pipe! Let me take a pic and I will post it later.

On a side note I just received an email from Mr. Tim himself saying that they are having difficulties with the company that made my turbo. They have not recieved it yet. Tim assured me that it should be in the mail next monday, and I should have it 3 days afterward.
My fingers are crossed.
I can't wait to see the J pipe!!! <img src="graemlins/jumper.gif" border="0" alt="[jumper]" />
