Default overflow hose question

i accidentally broke the connection into the radiator for this hose. i didn't notice it until i started driving.

my car started to get hot. (third line) and spray coolant all over the floor and it seemed to be coming only from the broken connection at the top of the radiator

is my only problem this overflow hose? because isn't it not usually leaking coolant out of there?

also my heater isn't working now since i put in my alternator i don't know if that matters. i feel like i screwed something up somehow.

the part that connects to the top corner of the radiator(drivers side) is the part that is broken. i vented my cooling system twice before driving it to get the air out.

if you broke the nipple on the radiator you need another radiator.

Being that its just plastic, this would be a perfect use for an easy out. I highly doubt the easy out would break.
Not sure if you did this or not, but to properly bleed the coolant system, you have to turn the heat on or manually open the heater valve to get flow trough the heater core. If you bleed the system without doing that, you'll still have air pockets in the heater core.

I broke that same nipple and ended up using a small screw driver just slight larger than the ID of the nipple. It was able to bit into it with slight pressure and I could unscrew it.

alright thanks for the tips in getting it out.

Back to my original question though. is this broken part leaking coolant enough to make my car overheat?
or is it something else causing it
