951 rear windshield wiper installation
I have a friend with an '85 944 that has a rear windshield wiper. Can i just uninstall it and install it in my '86 951? Im pretty sure that they have the wiring already installed with the harness. is this true? if so how hard is it to do? appreciate any help at all, especially if someone has done this before. Thanks.

Old thread, but I need help with this
Does the wiring harness have plugs pre wired for the motor and switch, on a car that did not originally come with a rear wiper? thanks in advance..

should have a spot for the switch in the consule-need the switch itself- i may have one- and im not sure if the wiring that goes through the hatch is there but it may be.

Not everyone is obsessed with making their car as light as possible and make as much power as possible. Some people like the car in stock form and to have the nice little conviences. I have a rear wiper and I don't think I've ever used it but, I'm not about to take it out. If it's a track car by all means leave it out.

For cost reasons, the harnesses have all options available. Its like when you remove a manual seat and find a plug in for the power stuff under it....and the manual was stock. Mass production and its glorious results.
