tech edge w-b

Is anyone currently using the 1.5 techedge unit's narrowband output in place of the stock sensor signal? It would be great if I could just replace the current sensor and not have to go get the bung welded on.

I think its possible with some conversion circuit that takes the wideband signal and outputs the narrowband signal.
I'm not sure who mentioned it.
I think it was in a theoretical discussion.
Danno maybe.

The tech edge 1.5 unit has a narrowband simulated output already, so it appears they've done all that work for us. Just wondering if anyone has actually used it, or if I should be prepared to be That Guy who blows is car up seeing if it works

I use two O2 sensors, NB and WB so I don't have to screw with the NB cable and I can remove the WB when I don't need it to extend its life.
Here is the new NAPA source for the WB:
NAPA dealer has said the OS791 sensor has been discontinued. He said the crossover/substitute number is a Bosch #13246

I have been asked by several folks if I am sure this is the correct part. I am sure that it is.
One of the two sensor I was ordered using a Bosch P/N and came in a box marked Bosch # 13246, but the part inside is stamped with the NTK L1H1 which is the five wire WB required for the Tech Edge unit.

Apparently the LSU-4 is a WB sensor, but at least 2 sites hint that it won't work with the TechEdge. Doe anyone know otherwise???
<a href="http://www.tragacs.com/wbo2.html" target="_blank">another website about techedge</a>
" Pls also be aware that there is a widely avaiable Bosch wide band sensor (the LSU4 sensor), but it won't work with these kits. "

"Here's some information from Bosch USA about their narrow band LSF-4 and their wideband LSU-4 sensor. The LSU-4 is similar in operation to the NTK L1H1 (although they are not interchangeable at all). "

I doubt it'll work. The techedge people are pretty specific in mentioning the L1H1 as the one that is needed. Also, the new 2.0 version they're working on lists the LSU-4 as the sensor it uses (possibly with L1H1 support). If they're having to rev hardware to use that sensor, it's a safe guess there's enough of a difference that it's not just a drop in replacement.

I have a question for you wideband guru's
I plan on adding a WB02 to my Probe, not my 944. If you feel offended by this, please don't read on
All of yoru sugegstions and info are great! I just have one quest before I go full bore.Where should i place the WBO2 in a V6 setup? eitehr front or rear bank? before turbo? after turbo? At the collector?
Any help would be appreciated.

Before the turbo after the collector is fine. Or after the turbo before the cat. Collector meaning 6 INTO 1? I would love to see a pick of that exhaust plumbing.

Isn't there any way of running a wb02 sensor directly to a regular A/F gauge? (not the ones with the LEDs) Or is this how it's already set up... (I know next to nothing about wb02)
