Konstantin,
Did you ever complete this 16v 2.5l motor? If so, how did the 944S head work out?

All,
Is the 944S head still the best choice to build a high HP, high revvin' track motor on the 2.5l block?

Jeff Lamb

You forgot to mention that the 968 head has a substantially larger intake port than the S/S2 head.

Great, just what us 2.5l 16V owners need. More people looking for 16V heads.

I would like to hear some thoughts on this. I'd like to also know how the 16V "S" head compares in flow to the 16V "S2" head, when mated to a high revving, high Boost, stock block. I am making the switch to 16 Valves, and I'm debating which 16v Head to use. Obviously the "S" head would be alot easier to fit to the 100mm block, but would it flow similar amounts of air as the "S2" head?

Edit: Another issue is valve overlap. How much is there in these NA Heads? And could it be cured by an adjustable cam gear?
