Default Odyssey battery for racing, PC925?

Hi,

What batteries are being used for track only 2.5L turbo applications. I am concerned about going to the PC680 due to the large reduction in CA's from the factory battery. Has anyone not been able to turn over their race motor during a stall condition at the track while the motor was hot?

The PC 925 seems to offer more CA's, 500 vs the pc 680s 350, however this is still a far cry from the factory batteries rating of 800. I am currently using a 680 in my street 93RX7 with no trouble but have concerns about it turning over the Porsche motor.

The race motor has OE pistons, and OE compression, all accessories removed except alternator and power steering pump.

Thanks,

I've tried the PC680. The car turns over fine, but cannot hold an idle, while others have stated it works for them. You'll find more info if you do a search. I still have the battery if you want to try it.
