okay well you are good to about 16 lbs. then...i was referring to your stock injectors...they are 34.5 lb.injectors if you want to run more boost then you will need bigger injectors...i am getting a set of 55 lb. myself...athough you might need to get your piggy back ecu ..redone because i dont know what you air/fuel ratio will be with your current chip set up...anyone care to help on this subject???

"34.5/per???"

That's the flow-rating of the stock injectors: 34.6 lb/hr. We went back and forth forever trying to figure that out and Bosch wasn't very helpful with providing data on their products. Took some empirical data through actual testing to figure that one out. See the RC-Engineering flow-tests on stock injectors here: WTK- Injector requirements for 400rwhp

ok so it sounds like i was going the correct way, i had only 4 threads showing when it was set at the factory 10 psi, i have now changed it approxiametly 4 psi to 14 and have no threads showing now, i reckon that i could only turn it about another 2 turns before the locknut was hard up against the outlet

I would strongly suggest getting a boost gauge before you blow up your engine. I wouldnt mess around with the boost until you know where you are putting it. Also, if you want to increase boost, you should consider a chip change, because you need the added fuel to go with the added air.

Well, An aftermarket boost gauge will tell you exactly what boost you are running, and then you can go from there. At around 50 bucks, I think it is a sound investment.

ok, i think i will adjust it back down to 10 or 11 psi to be on the safe side, i am only doing this to annoy my mate who has an rb5 subaru impreza turbo, i couldnt keep up with him before so started modding my car and can now keep up with him and maybe even edge it, maybe i was getting greedy trying to blow him away!!

We all know about trying to keep up with friends..be careful with your 951 if your friend blows his subaru it isint going to cost him near what it will cost you if you blow yours.Take Boostguy951's advice and get a boost gauge that way it will take the guess work out of it.No sense in causing a $2500.00 rebuild ...for a part you can get $100.00

remember they come preset at 10psi which is really 15psi with a boost gauge..so 14psi on the lbe is really about 18/19psi (not safe)

good luck.

You should get an aftermarket boost gauge !
Any figures available for those chips you have??? Iam not familiar with 944online's chips. Are they cloned from some more known ones?? If you would like to have guranteed results, go to Guru chips.
