I think it was an option on the turbo's. The phonedials I have are 16x7 front and 16x8 rear.
I need the wider ones.

I have never heard of 9" phone dials. I thought I had a PhD in phone dials.

If you twist my arms, I might sell mine. '87 offset, pretty good shape, tires are ok, but I'd get a set.

I have a few Mg Cup rims I could sell, 8&9X16, but if you have to ask, you can't afford them...

I have a set of 2 16X7 and 2 16X8 inch phone dials off a 88 951. One wheel is slighly bent but can easily be fixed for about $70. Keeping this in mind, let me know if interested and what they are worth to you. The finish is worn out. Will adjust price for bent wheel.

Is it possible to have a wheel repair shop take 2 wheels and cut and weld them to make 1 wide one?

Those aren't wider. The first picture is an '86 with the early offset. The second picture is an '87+ with the later offset. Both sets of rims are the same widths.

NiveFiveOne,
How can you tell the difference between the 86' & 87' by the pictures??
Just curious I didn't think there were any visual differences.

You can tell because of the rims. Early offset phonedials will have that deep dish look to them while the later offset cars won't. That's the only exterior visual difference I know of. Fuchs or deep dish phonedials will always be an '86.
