Post Take A Look At My Fuel Rail, Is This Factory?

Our good friend, Luke sent me his old stock FPR. I went to install it, and here's what I found.

Is that nipple supposed to be there? Or has that been welding on? What do you guys think?

What did you have for an FPR before? I assume it must have been remote located with a hose from that fitting on the fuel rail to it.

I think the point is that it allows you to run a "remote" FPR....which IMHO is a good thing, as you can go to a rising rate AFPR that gives you more flexibility in tuning the a/f ratios at different rpms.

I think there are some pics at speed force racing that shows their use of a remote fpr.

What did I have before? Nothing. The line from the fender had a hose going straight to the rail. This car had Tec-2 on it years ago. It was a hack job install, it had another hack job motronic reinstall, so now I'm making it all right. The funny thing is, the car runs ok. It's not perfect. Gas mileage is about 3/4 of what it should be.
