I don't know what the parts are suppose to look like or how they should be assembled. If the block with set screw is to go over the double flat shaft, it doesn't look like its going to fit.

Other things:
Probably the camera lens, but the block looks like a parallelogram.
Material thickness should probably be thicker around the hole with set screw.
No locking nut being used with set screw.
Is the indexing of the double flat shaft, to heim joint correct?

Correct, the profile of the heim is curved, the slot in the block is flat??!!

This is a brand new "Weltmeister" short shift linkage. In trying to identify the point of failure in the manufacturing process,
I've come to find the "Weltmeister" brand was licensed to Automotion---which is owned by Eckler's (of Corvette & Classic Chevy fame).
All 12 units Eckler's sourced from their vendor in Van Nuys, CA were incorrect. Sheesh!!
I purchased this unit from a well respected Renn List Sponsor, who have been nothing but professional to deal with and I expect a full refund
when they receive the returned part. Eckler's, on the other hand, offered HORRIBLE customer service, I mean really-exceptionally bad!!

I don't understand what you are trying to say, but the heim joint should bolt to the block on the right through one of the two smaller holes.

Yea Rob, but the mount bolt for the shift linkage
is on the front side...look at the trans on your car...
You cant put a round edge in a square slot!
As well, this causes the lower hole not to line
up with the heim.

Chris...
Not sure as I didnt even put a wrench on it

Ah... It gladdens my heart to hear of Americans who have learned to appreciate the sheer beauty of the metric system.

Same here. I can't stand the U.S. standard sizing.

However it's quite sad that the chinese Schnell for $60 works fine..but the Weltmeister product made in Cali is manufactured
incorrectly!

Okay, I was thinking that the chamfer wasn't done right on the inner hole but now I see it's a shadow. But, I do understand the round thingy in the square thingy doesn't work deal - that's a no-brainer.

As for SAE vs. metric, I'll take the simplicity and beauty of the metric system any day.

On a side note, do all of you folks know that only 3 countries have yet to adopt the metric system.

Yup, Liberia, Myanmar and the good ol US of A.

Makes you realize why the world chuckles at the States. Whole country is kinda 'backwoods'..
