Well - just bought another 89 944 turbo. It is satin black metallic with sport seats. I think it has been sitting in an impound lot since about 2004 up in Virginia. It arrived in from the shipper on Friday at noon. Special thanks to JohnKoaWood for helping out with the purchase!
For about 48 hours I had three 1989 944 turbos in the drive. Number 176, 987 and 1222
This morning though the white one sold. The buyer is going to pick it up a little later in the week but I'll be back down to two then.
The black one didn't come with a key so I put in an order to have one cut to the VIN. I should be able to get it on Tuesday. I am planning on draining the fuel and turning the motor by hand a bit and then cranking it. Maybe I should fill the cylinders with ATF though and let it sit a while before I turn the crank. Just in case the rings are rusted to the cylinder walls at all.

Yes - the clear coat is pealing off pretty badly.
Sure - which color is your favorite?![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Most likely - already pulled the driver's seat hoping to find a key under there but no luck - wasn't too scary - just about 45 cents and part of a broken cd.
I am curious as to your personal best?![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Neighbor has a old classic motorcycle and a 12 cylinder jag he is always working on. Come over and checks out the latest project car all the time. I try to keep them covered or garaged and if I have a parts car I usually move it out in less than a month.
I know - that SFR intercooler is a tight fit.
I was hoping the timing belt was good for at least getting the car started
You are probably right though - arrrgh
Red one.
We'll see - depends on how difficult it is to get it running. Sort of tempting to drive it for a while - mad max style. I need to post up another thread with more pics of it. Windshield is cracked, dash is really bad, clearcoat is pealing, little bit of rust down at the bottom of the door way opening back corner...
