I had one of the old HKS EVC's in one of my other cars. I liked it more than the new units with fuzzy logic, although you can turn it off in the newest EVC. I have a Blitz DSBC in my rx-7 and have had good luck with it.
I think the Apexi unit probably has the most features out of the current crop. I like being able to set my boost by rpm.

I have a EVC IV on my 951. I love it. It's easy to set up, small, and has an attractive display.
Mine overshoots the boost by 0.10 bar so I have to set it at 0.90 bar to get 1.0 bar. No big deal, I suspect that this problem will go away when I get a dual port wastegate.

Get the one without fuzzy logic. Works just as well and is 1/2 the price. I have a Greddy Profec B and it works well. However, I'm not certain it's worth $300 more than a manual boost controller.
