Default Fuel line fittings

Hey guys,

I found the LR fuel lines but am wondering where they get their fittings from. (See forums.rennlist.com/.../installing-ss-braided-fuel-line-fittings.html). I'm not huge on paying $140 on something that I can eventually fab myself. The problem of course is that I can't seem to find any fittings that fit anywhere.

Also, If I do go with the LR lines, do they need the overcoat as shown on the LR page? Seems that the insultherm kinda defeats the purpose of having SS lines in the first place. I'm actually thinking of doing rubber lines with the insultherm. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Flyguy

I looked at buying everything needed and it came to about $70 online. I used some links posted by Jeremy H. to put the estimate together. Then I went to a local hose and fitting place and showed them what I wanted and they said "that stuff is special order". I said I have wasted to much time on this and bought the lines from Lart for $99 shipped.

I have the lindsey kit they are Canton I believe.

I also have fitting from Jegs, Summit, Pegasus Racing and Canton.

I would suggest getting brand name fittings that are not Chinese made.

I have every brand out there sitting in my basement right now. The better ones are made in USA. Russel, Aeromotive, Earls, Aeroquip.
Jegs house brand are made in China and not as good but they carry the above brands.
I'm guessing the summit house brand are also Chinese.

I built a -8AN fuel line I myself. I also have the Lindsey -6AN line in the basement.

hope that helps,

Jason

We have LR fuel lines on two track cars. The Lindsey brothers did their homework. Great product! Not worth taking a chance here to save a few bucks IMO.

I was lazy and ordered the kit. It comes with some pieces that I didn't want to fart around sourcing.

I prefer OEM, but there wasn't a good OEM solution for the lines. I did buy a genuine P jumper, mostly because it was cheaper than the custom solutions.
