951's are great for daily driving, I do recommend a backup though (car that is, not necessarily another 951, but if that's in the cards. . .)

i am also looking for a 951, and my current car is a 97 M3, what a conincidence. And I am coming to Modesto this sunday to visit my brother and check out a fellow rennlister's 951. How about showing me your car? Iam free sunday afternoon.

mledbetter, your CA neighbor may be a better option than me for your car. I know the reliability of the 951 won't be as good as the M3, but I'm in a lucky position of having a "backup" 993. My commute's nowhere near long enough to heat up the 12 qts. in the 911, so I want a fun daily driver. Not that the M3's not fun, it's just that after 4 years of ownership I'm ready for something different and I'd like to drive a Porsche every day.
