Just to give you an idea: In good old Switzerland at local Porsche dealer clutch job itself with just the normal clutch things (no clutch fork USD 400) runs about USD 3'300.00 an 18 hours job. For my opinion every job has always turned out to be hard & long work - unbelievable Porsche could be 6th overall with the 924 Carrera GT le Mans in 1980 I guess grandfather of 944.

I sold my 924S for an 86' 951 100k flood car for just over 3 grand. It looked fine, was already cleaned when I got it and it was back on the road five or six hundred later. That was two years of fun ago. Great deals are out there, take your time. Bill

Alright. Thanks guys. I REALLY appreciate your help in making sure I don't get royally screwed. I sent an email to SA silverbullet, and his car looks absolutly beautiful. BUT, my one concern is the mileage. at 175,000 miles, what kind of repairs should I be ready for? should I be concerned about the bearings, as I am in the 924? is there any concern with the turbocharger itself and the necessary hardware? or are the main concerns the same as the 944 engine, as in pretty much only the compression and the bearings?
again, I really appreciate the help. you guys are great.

My '88 non-S (it just like sasilverbullit's) had 165K on it when I installed a new turbo (the old one is still fine, in fact if you need one you can have it) and a new head ( again, the old one was fine-blown head gasket) and new rod bearings. Guess what? The rod bearings were fine as well. 165K with all stock untouched parts and they'd still be going today if I didn't upgrade them.
