Question What is a good color combination

I am planning on repainting my '87 maranchino red 951. It has a wine red interior. At this moment I am still in the process of stripping the car. I still have not made up my mind. Am I going to repaint the car in the original color or should I go for another (Porsche!) color.

I like the Alpine White and the Slate Gray colors of Porsche. How are these going to combine with the wine red interior?

Has anyone pictures? Or does anyone have a suggestion for another (Porsche!) color?

Thanks!

Take a look at Porsche's seal grey. Awesome shade with a small amount of metallic flake.

I recently had my entire Audi done in this color!

seal grey / dark grey / gunmetal would go best w/ that interior imo. the s2000 had a similar color combo available for a few years - it looks gorgeous imo.

not sure if this is true, but i have heard form a number of ppl that the resale value of the car can be affected if you change from the original factory colour. not sure whether that even matters with some of the other mods ppl have in their cars .

Here's my Graphite Metallic. Darker than slate gray but lighter than black. I have burgundy interior which is in the same ballpark as your red. Its a really cool color that contrasts perfectly with the black rubber moldings on the car and the black fuchs if you have them. At some angles the paint even gives off a gun metalish vapor blue tint. Im getting it repainted next year in the same color.

Wow, those Fuchs look so nice on a black car, just a classic look. I wish I could have taken the one's off my 944 and put them on my 951 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

The fuchs stand out precisely because the car ISNT black. Thats why I like the look. Look at the rubber moldings around the windows and then the paint. Definitely a different shade which makes each more noticable, yet tough to put your finger on.

I have an early 88 951 with the Marishino red with Linen interior. I personally love the color (you could have predicted that) if you send me your email address I can send you some pictures.
