Post ACT sensor location?

When converting to a speed/density system where are you putting the Air Charge Temp sensor? Wouldn't the intake manifold be the best place?
Thanks

It depends upon the algorithm used by your EFI system. The stock Motronic uses air-temp sensor for cold-start enrichment, so it needs to measure outside ambient air temperatures.

If your EFI system does calculations on the air in the manifold, then I would put the sensor there. However, air density doesn't change that much in the manifold with temperature (boost-pressure being a bigger variable). However, air-temps can be used in calculations for ignition timing.
