is my existing turbo thermostat in backwards?
I'm replacing the water pump in my 86 951, and I just noticed something. The existing turbo thermostat in the old waterpump has the 'long'/'springy' end pointing INTO the water pump. PET and a few searches I've done here seem to indicate that end should point into the plastic housing. Is the thermostat actually installed backwards in my car? <img border="0" alt="[grrrrrrr]" title="" src="graemlins/cussing.gif" /> Any ill effects this could have had that I should be on the lookout for?
