1986 944 Turbo

I don't know the exact mileage. The PO was a Mitsubishi mechanic and did the engine rebuild about 50K miles prior to me buying the car. I have put on about 10 to 12K miles since I bought it in the last 6 years. Car runs very strong. No dash cracks and major maintenance stuff completed.

Maintenance/Repairs I've done

- Belts, rollers, tensioner 7K miles ago (Porsche Master Tech. friend at dealership did this for me)
- New clutch, throwout bearing, fork bearings, pilot
bearing, rear main seal, resurfaced flywheel, guide tube, all bolts,
less than 5K miles ago
- Brake sensors
- Fuel damper
- Brake master cylinder
- Plugs, wires, rotor, coil, & cap
- Injector harness
- Windshield
- Rebuilt starter motor
- Battery cables
- Water channel cover over wiper motor OEM
- Crank sensor
- J boot (used)
- Boots to intercooler
- Ignition switch
- NEW dash - not a cover - No cracks installed by PO
- Vacuum lines and 4 port vacuum manifold
- Struts (used 10K on them from fellow Rennlister)
- 4 wheel alignment with a little extra front camber
- Torque tube (used from fellow Rennlister)
- Wiper motor (used from fellow Rennlister)
- A/C compressor (used from fellow Rennlister)
- 1987 transmission - resealed and installed by PO - non LSD
- Replaced the torque tube at time of clutch due to bad bearing
- New hood struts
- Replaced washer bottle and installed new washer pump
- Rear rotors turned and new pads installed

Upgrades

- K 26/8 turbo (used from fellow Rennlister)
- Straight pipe (Cat. delete) still have cat pipe to go with sale
- 951 MAXX chips
- Tial 38 wastgate
- LR manual boost controller
- 3 bar fuel pressure regulator
- Saikou Michi oil catch can
- Zimmerman crossed drilled rotors all around
- Hawk HP + front pads
- SS braided brake lines
- Turbos S sway bars with new frt. bushings
- Koni adjustable rear shocks
- Weltmeister 220 lb front springs
- Lindsey solid transmission mount
- Turbo S guage cluster (180 mph)
- Boost guage
- Replaced seats with A2R Racing seats
- Headers
- Dino steering wheel & hub
- Cycling valve delete
- Venturi delete
- Aluminum blow off valve

Other Stuff

- 17" turbo twist rims 7.5 front & 9.0 rear
- Hand painted center caps
- New tires 5K ago BF Goodrich G-Force Sports 255/40 rear & 215/45 front
- Tinted windows (professionally done)
- Repainted (slightly different gold than orig. that looks much better) body a 9 out of 10
- Phone dials & tires included
- The last compression test was 130 to 135 on all 4 last summer
- Sony stereo with 6 disc changer, Blaupunkt speakers, and Rockford Fosgate sub & amp
- Clock works & factory alarm system works

The Bad

- Cruise controldoesn't work - I have a spare controller and computer and that wasn't the problem.
- A/C needs recharge every year
- Heat doesn't blow at feet only thru vents - Trunk lid remote motor works but doesn't pop the lid - needs adjustment
- Someone backed into my drivers side fender and door 2 yrs. ago and insurance paid the claim. A replacement door and fender was used from another vehicle to fix my car. Repair was done very well.

ASKING $7200 If anyone is interested PM me.

I live close to Eniac (fellow Rennlister & mechanic) who has worked on the car and could do an inspection if interested. Photo of car in avatar and will pull out car this weekend and post more photos. LOTS of receipts.

Eniac is a fellow Rennlister and lives in Grand Rapids about 1/2 hour from me. His name is Stephen and he has a shop there.

I don't know the exact mileage on the car but from the prev. owner's comments when I bought it I estimate about 150k to 170K. It lived most of its life in the south. There is no rust and it is very solid.

...I'll give you $7500 for your house instead?

I lived in Minneapolis for a few years....miss...miss...miss the lakes and the fishing (and my 17' decked out Lund).

Nice car - GLWS!
