Agree, btw, the yoko 032R fit perfect on the rear 9s and I use 225s on 8s on the front (928 GT club sports) and they fit well to. I have seen 032R on 7s that look much wider than the rim.

Has anyone tried the new yoko AVS ES100, price looks good (comparable to the Kumo 712s)?

I've got these on my turbo, having the fronts put on tomorrow (rears are already on). If nothing comes up I'm going for a spirited long drive tomorrow and will have more opinions, but in the rear so far so good.

Grassroots Motorsports magazine did a tire test recently with some of the mentioned tires.

They'll send a free issue. It's probably the one with the test. It's a great magazine, wish I'd known about it years ago.

OK, after a few hundred miles on these tires, all I have to say is positive. They give lots of feedback, not too much noise, and the ride is good. After pushing the car a lot and sliding around some, they still don't look visibly worn. The older AVS', as well as Michelin MXV4s (amongst many other tires) chunked off... If road noise doesn't bother you too much, I think the Bridgestone RE-730s are also excellent tires.

I have the ES100's on my car, 235/40/17 front and 255/40/17 rear. They grip great and they're very quiet. And don't forget, they're at a damn good price. My friend has Kumho 712's on his car, and at 80mph you practically have to yell to talk.
