Default It's come to this...just ordered bifocal safety glasses

In case some of the younger members of the board wonder why us, uh, "more mature" Rennlisters get a little cranky at times, just take a look at what I had to order today:

Those my friends are bi-focal reading safety glasses.

Oy.

+1 - where did you get them?

After 45+ years with no glasses, during the past couple years my eyes have gone way downhill and reading glasses are a must now. I used to think my wife was crazy for wanting the light so bright to read but totally understand now (don't need the readers if I'm outside on a nice day, for instance). This has become one of my biggest obsticles for working on the vehicles these days unfortunately... Oy Vey!

It appears that there are a few of us in the same boat. Where did you get them?

LOL, glad to know I'm not alone. I tried to convince myself it was just scratched and dirty lenses but alas things got no clearer when I took my glasses off.

Ordered them off of Amazon, they have several 'powers' available

I found a pair at the local welding supply store. Sometimes I put them on in the garage to read the manual.

Home Depot sells them, in the tool section. Once you use them, you'll be hooked, I find it hard to do anything in the garage without them now.

Seriously, get some, you'll kick yourself when you realize how useful these are.

Hopefully I have a LONG way to go before I have to use these. Glad I haven't had to wear glasses thus far.
