Post HELP! autothority chips, 86-87 and 88

I just bought some autothority chips for my 1987 944 turbo, The part #'s are POR01.951.220 KLR and POR01.951.220DME, On one site I heard that I need POR01.951.120 DME&KLR For my 1987 and that the other part # is for the 1988 turbo non "s". My question is what it the difference, I have my KLR and DME boxes apart right now and they fit but I am not sure if they are the right part, what should I do?

Those last 3 digits Robin uses for custom info - like 3 bar regulator, no cat etc. The turbo s takes a 28 pin chip, so if it fits it is good. You can call ape and ask about the number that you have.

Sorry - Robin does the chips for ape. Go ahead and run it - but for optimum performance take it to a dyno and send the sheet and chips to ape.

Also just to double check, which box is which, I think the small box is the KLR box and the big one is the DME but I am not 100% sure, it doesnt say on them?

The box that has the banjo bolt connection to a thin, white plastic tube is the KLR.

and make SURE that you get the correct alignment on the pin,,get the notch in the right position. It has been know to fry the DME if the chips are out 180°. But if it starts..all is well.
