Default 3 Bar Fpr Work?

Hey guys I came across a Bosch 3 bar regulator and I just wanted to make sure this will work for our cars. I'm use to seeing these in black and I think thats what makes me wonder.

Thanks for your assistance!

That is a different part number than the one I am using. If you search for posts from me re FPR you can find the part number for the black one that most people use. Needless to say, if you use a 3 bar regulator, you will need tuning/chips for it to work properly regardless.

Hey Cyclone did you decide to keep your car? I finally got my 88. I am thinking of picking up the Rogue A tune along with a Tial 38, 3 Bar FPR and exhaust with test pipe. However I lack the knowledge and place to install. Any chance you or any other Rennlisters can help a guy out?

Hopefully what ever exhaust I wind up with will be plug and play. So you think you can help me install a Tial WG, 3 Bar FPR, Rogue A tune and bypass test pipe?

I can do the 3bar fpr, Rogue A-tune for sure... depending on how you want the test pipe that shouldn't be bad. If you want it welded in then I can't but if you just want to clamp one in that should be very simple. The Tial WG you would have to get welded in place most likely due to the flanges not being the same as the stock unit.

Wouldn't this work? I don't see anything about welding? I have a Lindsey DP Waste gate, so I don't know any details on the Tial WG.But I thought it could be a bolt in with the adapter plates?

the lindsey dp wastegate is direct install... a tial wastegate you would have to use the plates... we should be able to do that. Main thing is I know when I had my modified factory wastegate installed all my bolts needed to be replaced the old ones were so rusty and broke..so might want to consider new bolts/nuts.

I misunderstood your previous statement lol, i thought you had gotten a tial to replace the lindsey one, my fault

the reason the lindsey wastegate is direct install is because it uses the factory housing with internal changes and the top part is different. It will be easy to install, hard part is getting the old bolts off, after that it will take no time.

Try and soak them in liquid wrench the night before and... have lots of beer handy!

PS Is Princess Anne High School still around?
