88 944 turbo
has anyone ever seen this? it only happens once the car warms up. when its cold the tach drops to 1000 and stops. when the car is fully warmed up, it comes down to 1000 and immediatly jumps to 1300... then slowly comes down... very wierd. any ideas would be greatly appreciated. thank you

Just so happens i had this same problem way back when i got my car, we spent hundreds of dollars replacing parts that did nothing to fix the problem. check the throtle position sensor, that is what finally fixed it for me. Good Luck, Dave

i have replaced the Throttle position sensor.. but do wonder weather or not it is setup correctly. i'm assuming the TPS is the sensor on the side of the throttle body?? I'm also hearing a wheezing noise between 1100-1300 rpm. its very wierd and goes away as soon as the motor is revved or the tach drops to 1000. does that sound like i installed it incorrectly?
thanks
