Cup 3 Wheels: New Shoes
Since I couldn't find any pics of a car like mine in our 'MIA' archives, here's a pic of my '86 951 for other ppl considering a wheel upgrade.
These are the Mille Miglia Cup 3 wheels. 7.5X17 in front and 9X17 in rear. I got them from Wheel Enhancement.(BTW, John et al at Wheel Enhancement were really helpful).
I went with Brisgestone S-03s: 225/45/17 in front and 255/40/17 in rear.
I had to bend the rear fender lip a little in the rear to keep the tires from rubbing under hard cornering(I'll post more on this later).
I had a chance to drive my car pretty hard last weekend, and I'm really impressed with these tires. They're very predictable under oversteer and understeer conditions. Overall, they feel great and drift very nicely. I can't wait to get the car on the track.

Looks very nice! Have you upgraded your castor blocks to the 968 version as specified by Porsche for retrofitting 17" wheels on models originally equipped with 16" wheels?

Hi!
Looks really good,almost like mine....! <img border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" title="" src="graemlins/bigok.gif" />
But I do have that alarm key hole and sunroof, and I don't like either of them.I don't have that tires-rubbing-the-fenders problem ,but my car's a'87 with bigger ET and it's not that low.BTW,my center caps says "Turbo".
Cheers,Pete

Thanks for all the complements!
Let me know if I missed someone's question:
-The wheels were $980.00
-The car hasn't been painted. It sat in a garage most of its life.
-I haven't upgraded the blocks yet. Soon.
Here's the latest dyno run. Since this run, Danno and I have fixed the fuel curve with his chips(more info in a future post). I currently run anywhere from 20-25psi. The camshaft I'm running is Elgin's 330T cam.
Thanks! <img src="http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/SeanHalls_951.jpg" alt=" - " />
