I would be interested to see how they might connect the top of the cylinder to the rest of the block to effectively make it a semi closed deck block.

Are you guys sure you wouldnt have to change the combustion chambers? That doesnt sounds right, Youd have a bigger piston, the edges of the combustion chamber would make hot spots

Have you taken a close look at a 944 2v combustion chamber? 1/4 of it is flat forming a quench area - so that won't change. The bowl of the piston is matched to the combustion chamber shape - so you will not get any significant benefit from reshaping the head unless you really modify the combustion chamber around the valves for better flow.

BTW – my earlier comment on max size is based on the Darton MID sleeves.
