Idea on connecting an A/F gauge via Switch
For those of you who have been helping me with my hesitation problem, thanks. Basicly, the car rungs great with O2 sensor disconnected, but has some 1/2 - 3/4 throttle hesitation with it connected. After replacing TPS, O2 sensor, FPR and fixing vac leaks, connections etc I still have the problem. I have an Idea... I want to install a boost gauge and an A/F gauge. If I were to connect the A/F gauge to the O2 sensor at the DME, breaking the connection with a switch, via shielded cable. I could then switch off the O2 signal to the DME but still have it connected to the A/F gauge. I could then switch closed loop off and on and see how the mixture looks. BTW...I see that ROW cars had no O2 sensor and some sort of jumper installed. Can anyone shed any light on this?
Thanks
