"You can log the output voltage from the wideband with no problem. You could then display the voltage as an overlay with rpm, injector duty cycle, boost etc."

I still don't see how you can do an accurate overlay if you don't record the second axis simultaneously. For example, how can you convert the following data-series into a AFR vs. RPM chart:
  • 0.02v
  • 0.53v
  • 0.93v
  • 1.08v
  • 1.32v
  • 1.11v
  • 1.21v
  • 1.13v
  • 1.03v
  • 0.93v
  • 1.18v
  • 0.95v
  • 1.05v
  • 1.32v
  • 1.11v
  • 1.23v
  • 1.15v
  • 1.10v
  • 1.20v
Sure can plot it, but at what values and ranges do you start and end the X-axis units?

Ok, maybe I am missing something here... I thought I was talking about ADDING O2 wideband information to the Tec III engine management system that has RPM data logger built in because:
When they were developing the TEC-3, wideband O2-sensor capability was promised. But when the product shipped, this feature was quietly left off...

Second issue.
I have not combined the O2 and the Road Dyno yet
It would be nice to combine them
I had to manually start them at the same time using a switch. I will soon make this process automatic but I
need to get the car together first

Danno,
It's my understanding that if I record a voltage or whatever into the Tec3 that it logs it real time with the other selected data.

So, if I decide to plot rpm, MAP, injector duty cycle, intake temp and a 'voltage' they will be overlaid in sync. Whatever I had at a given point in time should be correct for that point in time. The logging will all start on start up or, as in my case, when I flip a switch on the dash.

At least I hope that's correct.

Alan... That is the way I see it working.

Sorry, I mis-read your earlier post about using the LambdaBoy output with the TEC-3 analog input for datalogging. Somehow I was trying to figure out how to arrive at a plot with just the LambaBoy data only.

I got an email back from them saying they log O2-sensor output voltage and convert it to air-fuel ratio with relation to time. Not much good unless you can record the exact RPM when you started to log the data...

Danno, you are absolutely correct in the need for RPM vs. AFR.

I am overloaded at work, such is life... I know how to solve this so stay tuned.

I'm ordering the unit tonight. I'll be burning custom chips for socal guys by appointment after I get my 951 tuned. If anyone is interested let me know. It should probably take all of 20 minutes and your specific car must be used.
