Default 944 Turbo Clutch stuck on the Floor

I recently got into my 1987 Porsche 944 turbo, pushed in the clutch down to start the car and now the clutch sticks to the floor. You can pull it back up manually, however it does the same thing.

Any suggestion pertaining to how this happened and how to fix the problem would be greatly appreciated.

How long ago did you install it? Sounds exactly like what happened to me in a 968 (saw a speed camera @ about 80, went to downshift and the pedal went to the floor and stayed there...). That was the stock clutch at 85K though.

Sounds like a leak in the hydraulic actuation system. Either the master or slave cylinder. When my master failed, it leaked inside the passenger compartment, you might want to take a peak under the dash.

The conservative approach would be to replace the master and slave as well as the line from the reservoir to the slave. I replaced only the master cylinder however and have not had any problems since.

+1 on the master and slave replacement. Bleed the system well and then you should be good to go.

If its a car you are planning on keeping, replace both the master and slave cylinders AND the rubber hose that connects them. Do it right and do it once, and you'll be good for a long time. Its not a terribly hard job to do, but in my experience, once any of teh the three components fails, teh other two aren't far behind.

Like scott says, replace all the components in the system at once. Add a foot of the blue reservoir hose to the list as well.

Parts list:
Master clutch cylinder
Slave cylinder
Rubber/hardline to the slave cylinder
blue feed hose from the reservoir to the master
Brake fluid
