Question Will cruise control, adj FPR, and LR oil breather can fit?

I have a LR remote adj FPR to install and I would like to keep the cruise control unit where it is. I would also like to install a LR oil breather can... will all of that stuff fit on the firewall or somewhere nearby?

Also, I would like to see engine bay pics of anyone with remote adjustable FPR & cruise control if any exist... please post. Thanks!

Tell me about it! I spent $2,000 on a head rebuild and a bunch of new parts including full LR fuel setup (Rennlist group buy) 5 years ago, then walked away for a while after a bolt broke... Then got married (2nd), and had a little girl (2 years old now), and I'm selling the ZX-14 with plans to get the car running and get active again in the Maverick PCA region.

Today I filled up a cart on the LR store with another $1,500 worth of goodies, and they've had my x-over since Friday to chop in half. Once those parts get back, my header, x-over, down pipe, intake, hard pipes, and all of the heat shields (7 or 8 of them?) will be off to Jet Hot for various coatings. I've also found a nearby powder coating place that I plan to have several small bits cleaned up and dressed.

The next big decision once Josh announces the cost of M-Tune is whether or not I want to mess with the old MAF & chips or just upgrade now. Decisions, decisions!!

how does it connect to the fuel rail? you probably need a custom fuel rail right, is that a significant mod I am all school never seen those before,

Get rid of the old crusty falling apart stuff and get something that is more flexible and confidence-inspiring. I was going to replace everything but the rail itself, so I figured it was a good time to upgrade. Not to mention if I do make major changes with horsepower sometime down the road, there are no reasonable limits to what this setup can deliver in fuel quantity.

Nearly everything in my engine bay is oxidized beyond belief, and I know if the environment has been chewing up everything I can see, it's also taking it's toll on everything I can't. I think the PO stored this car in his pool supply shed right beside an open bucket of chlorine tablets...

I feel your pain. I just pulled the cruse to instal the same bits. I am sure they could be located somewhere else but you would need to make new fuel lines as the ones LR supplies are designed to fit exactly were your cruse sits.

I was planning to leave the cruise control when I bought the kit, so I opted for the LR 5' hose with loose connectors option instead of the pre-made hose kit. I still think it will be a challenge with the oil breather tank in there, so we'll see... But I sure would like to see if anyone else has already done it!

Matt,

Any updates?

I'm looking to do the same and wondering also if it will all fit.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, no. And I'm kicking myself because SOMEWHERE I saw a photo of 951 engine that had everything installed. It wasn't a close-up, so it was difficult to see exactly how everything was laid out, but all of the pieces where there.

I'm planning to install the cam tower this weekend, and I've got some ideas on how to make it work. I may look at putting the LR catch can up near the PS fluid reservoir if it'll fit there, or I may move the cruise control unit toward the engine a little (by modifying the mounting brackets) and try to put the fuel regulator as far "outboard" in that spot as possible.

Worst case scenario is that I leave the cruise unit out for now and play with it more down the road. I've also seen catch cans up front where the stock air box used to be - that's an option too, but the LR unit might be too tall for that spot.
