Default broken transmission??

Ok guys I've tried searching with no results seeming to match up. Give me your ideas of what you think might have happened. My first clue that that something was up was after a quick 1-2 shift there was a bang loud enough to make my cd player skip, I slowed up thinking something broke, but the car still drove fine. I continued on my drive and after about another 20 or so miles of driving I went to shift from 2-3 and I could hear the torque tube spinning but the car was not accelerating. I got it off the road but am kinda stumped of where to start. The clutch is still engaging because the whining stops if I push the clutch in, but the car won't move, the shifter still moves through the gear pattern(although its sloppy, but was this way before) so the gears still feel like they are there. Possibly something with the torque tube, or input shaft on tranny?? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I won't get a chance to get the car up on jack stands until this weekend sometime.

Did you check the axles, maybe the axle broke, look underneath the rear you can probably see the axle hanging, if not you are in luck because I have some units in stock.

turbo trannies $ 499.99 shipped to your door 90 days warranty Lart money back guarantee.

could be a stripped tranny coupler, lift the rear of the car removed the large plastic cover on the tranny, turn the car on, engage in 1st if you see the tranny shaft turning at the same speed of the torque tube shaft than your are screwed

have someone watch under your car while you try to drive, or spin a wheel by hand with the car in the air. On first inspection it looked like my axles were fine, but after doing this and seeing one spin freely, I took it off and the CV was reduced to a rubber bag of shavings and grease. My favorite

Ugh, I think I broke mine yesterday...

Sounds like howling gears when driving, even when in neutral coasting. Second gear has a loud popping sound. Avoiding that gear for now. Dammit I didn't need this right now.

Oh well the price you pay.....
