Vicious torque curve ('03 rustang cobra)
Look at that torque curve! It's flat enough to eat off.. No fairzees! Only mod is a Bassani crossover pipe...

HAS to be more than just a crossover pipe- it says MAX HP- 394.7 & MAX TQ- 374.3- I've NEVER heard of ANY stock Mustang getting anywhere NEAR those #'s- hell, a 996TT wont do that- even a Viper wouldn't beat it by much- actually, the HP is probably a hair HIGHER than a Viper! OR, is this at the crank? I only asssumed WHEEL HP(?). Also, at the top and bottom of the pic, it says "Larry Brock 2003 supercharged"- if it were supercharged, it would make more sense....
****Looking at the chart, you were making little or no HP/Torque until 2,750 RPMs. Is this a Dyno on a V8?*****
Must just be the # where the dyno started to register- it would HAVE to have something at that level, unless it IDLES at 2750... I believe the dyno i ran my Turbo S on a long time ago started the #'s at 2000- I'd have to check...
So what's up Adrial? Is there more to this? Do you actually KNOW the guy who has the car?

Maybe they didn't floor it until 2750rpm?
"at the top and bottom of the pic, it says "Larry Brock 2003 supercharged"- if it were supercharged,"
I thought the '03 Cobra was supercharged coming from the factory?
Here's the chart I drool over (Doug's supercharged NSX):
Pretty flat torque curve from 3.5-8.5krpm. I think the stumble at 5250rpm is the VTEC kicking in the second cam-profile.
Hopefully the 968 with Variocam can maintain its fairly flat torque curve with a turbo added. I'm going to aim for similar numbers at 15psi boost.
Anyone with a turboed 968 have dyno charts?

Hey guys... For those of you that are not up to speed on the new stuff... The new Cobra IS SUPERCHARGED FROM THE FACTORY.
I have no doubt that this car has only a cross over pipe mod & little else.
The new cars are hard to beat boys.
BTW, I read a stang mag while at the book store the other day. They tested a new Cobra at low 12's in the 1/4... Stock
Damn, & me now without a Turbo...

The suspension and brakes on these cars is sold separately by www.griggsracing.com. They do however come with temporary suspension and brake parts which are sufficient to drive the car to a garage to have the proper suspension installed.

Steve Lavigne - excellent post. Speaking of brakes, doesn't the c5 vette have great breaking numbers? Anyone ever noticed the little chicken rotors they are putting on the rears? How do they do that?

I looked up on the cobra, and That number is at the wheels. There is also a video of it. It's pretty insane, first and second gear, just burning the tires and only moving a few inches. you guys with the big hp's got yourselves a big competitor now.

Thanks!
As for the C5, it is all about big sticky tires, well designed double wishbone suspesion on all four corners, and excellent front/rear weight distribution courtesy of its transaxle. The front brakes do most of the work because the front weight distribution goes something like 65% front 35% rear under heavy braking. A 911 should be able to outbrake any other vehicle because it goes 50% 50% weight distribution on braking. Nevertheless, the brakes on the C5 aren't really up to doing this over and over on a racetrack.

Robby, the new SVT Cobra makes 390hp from the factory.
Anyone in here that isn't running mid 12's should not even give it a run. Unless you want to be embarrased.
