Vicious torque curve ('03 rustang cobra)

One of the best performance values around I hear.
I rarely use the rear brakes on a bike. If you're doing it right the rear wheel's barely touching the ground.
I don't know how 911's get 50 50, unless they are grossly unbalanced at even throttle. Are they?

Silver,
Yea a rolling start would be more up our alley. Still would have to be one of he more modded cars here. Unless you find a guy in the Cobra that has no idea how to drive it.

I ran with a Cobra on the highway once. I first noticed him because of the NHRA sticker on his window, then the cobra badging. I caught up with him and he gunned it with me next to him at about 100. We were dead even -- not even half a car length from where we started -- by the time we got to 150. Repeated two more times and neither of us pulled on the other. I had a 200lb passenger in the car too. Dunno if he was in top gear or what, but I felt good about my car after that
Just an 86 turbo with stage 2 chips @ 1 bar, nothing else.

WOW! NOW I get it! So Ford's (SVT) going to unleash forced induction to the masses now huh? That IS impressive... I saw a test for one of the newer Cobras that ran a LOW 13 sec 1/4 w/something like 375HP stock- it was like $55K and weighed over 3800lbs- it was only out for a short time though- anyone know how much this supercharged monstrosity will COST? Guess I better get my engine rebuilt (and modded) soon if I want to stand a snowball's chance in hell w/THIS thing...

It's on the cover of last month's Car ad Driver. 390 hp with the engine very understressed and tons of potential. The Saleen supercharged were making almost as much power using the N/A compression and 2 valve heads. This one has lowered compression and 4 valve heads. Manley rods and lots of internal reliability changes. It ran 0-60 in 4.5 in C&D's test. Low 13's and 111 in the 1/4. The handling impressed the hell out of the writers.
The best part: msrp $35k.

I have embarrased a lot of Cobras also, but not a 2003 SVT!!!.
The older Cobras are the same performance as the new Mustang GT's. About 270--280hp.
I ran with a new GT from a rolling start with just chips and he was right with me, and yes, I know how to drive it I got the LBE the next day!!
I think Luke is more on the money with the 1/4 times being mid 12's. The ones that are mid 13's are probably not good drivers. A run by a good tester really shows what the car is capaple of.
Like our cars runnng 5.7 stock!!! Hss anyone in here ran a 5.7 with a stock 951???
