This is one of the highest selling prices I've seen in recent years for an unmodified 951. It's got a few things going for it though. Low mileage, nice condition, and seemingly all original down to the forged clubsports, "Blaupunkt sound system with an equalizer" and a working clock!

My old 89 951 was Blue on Blue. The interior had black dash, etc. That car now is kicking *** in LA with a LR 3.0 motor. The new owner has had it for about ten years. The blue interior and white exterior is very good looking.

I paid $12,500 for my '86 951 with 50k miles in late 2008 before the market softened a bit. It was an original-owner car and all original with beautiful Fuchs 7&8's, sport seats, LSD and Koni yellows. It seems a touch high now but no regrets. Over time, the cost of a good example is forgotten.
