Default Stock 89 951 goes for over 15K on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1989-...item2eb4436b9c

This is one of the highest selling prices I've seen in recent years for an unmodified 951. It's got a few things going for it though. Low mileage, nice condition, and seemingly all original down to the forged clubsports, "Blaupunkt sound system with an equalizer" and a working clock!

I don't know if I've seen an interior that color of blue, I really like it.

Is that the full leather package on that car? I've never seen perforated leather rear seats.

It appears to have the leather seating surface group.

My old 89 951 was Blue on Blue. The interior had black dash, etc. That car now is kicking *** in LA with a LR 3.0 motor. The new owner has had it for about ten years. The blue interior and white exterior is very good looking.

It does look nice, but what is that blue cover over the idle adjustment screw? Just nitpicking.

Original fuel lines. Nice

Most of the time you get what you pay for...... Some times you realized you dont.

I was pretty impressed for what that car went for as well. Will be interesting to see if the transaction stands.

Someone needs to send the new owner a clear coolant tank.

If he paid $15.2 he can afford his own.

Nice car. Nice price. Nothing wrong with spending for original quality. There are fewer and fewer all original 944 Turbo S cars left.

I paid $12,500 for my '86 951 with 50k miles in late 2008 before the market softened a bit. It was an original-owner car and all original with beautiful Fuchs 7&8's, sport seats, LSD and Koni yellows. It seems a touch high now but no regrets. Over time, the cost of a good example is forgotten.

Sounds like a beauty. Hindsight is 20/20. You have a sweet Porsche. Enjoy the ride
