Why was my post with pictures of the carfax removed?
Anyway I found some interesting info.. I ran the auto check, and it came up with CLEAN title, and no reports of mileage tampering. However the the first event recorded on the auto check history was after the car was auctioned in Oregon, after the accident occured. And the recorded mileage in 2002 was 142.5k, and 144k in 2011. Hardly believable.
I'll post auto check history too, please let me know if this is against forum rules..

One thing I've learned over the years of buying/selling toys such as this... don't force it. When the right car comes along, everything will align and fall into place.
Based on your first post, I was thinking it wasn't a bad deal. As you're digging and finding more strange things - I'd say something somewhere is trying to tell you something.
Plenty of 944 Turbos out there. Find another one.
