Back to the original title; which i forgot to include. I went back through it and found that the timing for the cam was off by around 5 teeth. Spoke with Joshb on it and he believes that the 7th time I cranked the car was went I might have possibly bent valves... I guess that's why I am foolishly asking how many teeth, on the cam gear, off can it be (from TDC) before that happens. Although I would be willing to bet many dont have that kind of exacting information.

Thanks joshb and everyone else for giving me advice. I do appreciate it
Ugh,yeah that makes the question a lot clearer! Compression test time, I'd save anymore cranking for that!

I agree with Josh, it doesnt sound like its building any compression. Time for a head rebuild or replacement.

Duddeee.

Just look at that video.

Pull the ignition cap, and rotor. Try wiggling the cam gear. Make sure you did not loose the bolt that holds the cam gear to the cam shaft. Either that or the timing belt was improperly tensioned. Your problem isnt a starter at all.

He has one for sale for $250....

Although Josh lives in your area, he can probably help you out and is fairly local..

Sorry for the damage. Your engine sounds as if it has no compression.

Agreed with everyone else, this is a classic no compression sound. No up and down from the strokes. I can see the belt moving, check timing and hope that the head is not damaged and good luck.
