The black car on Lindseys site is mine,,before I did the head, turbo, clutch, flywheel, painted the cam tower, etc...that was the 944 intake package at Lindsey. I also did the wastegate and controller at the same time. That really ran well on stock turbo configuration set at 15psi.

The air fuel meter is a matter of trail and error then dyno time; also playing with fuel pressure. Mine is now very very close. The spring tightening tricks the DME by slowing the opening of the vane before WOT so that fuel is not being dumped too early before your boost gets in. Dwain has had cars from 8 clicks to 14 clicks, so every car is different, as we all know. ONe thing I found out with my car is that the fuel pressure did not need to be up to 40-50psi. I was blowing black smoke out the back like a Greyhound bus! Boost really comes on just before 3000 but if your into about 3000-3200 rpms and hit the gas,,you better be pointed in the right direction! When the A/F ratio got dailed in really close the car came alive. I've been really pleased with the products from Kokeln - LIndsey and both have great customer support.

ok i got a couple of questions for this group:

-rage is your oil pan baffled so you dont pump dry and spin #2 while cornering at the track? the reason im asking is i only have 88k on my bottom end and im leary of bolting a bunch of stuff up top and then having a catastrophe at the crank. i see your mopping up at the track w/ 180k stock bottom end....am i just paranoid?

-363 package guys does the turbo in that package have a water jacket? i heard somewhere that it didnt, its was actually a crossover from a 930 application, or was i misinformed? if not what type of temps are you seeing (at the track and on the street)? how long have you guys been running the package (im wondering about component life running that hot)? is there a water cooled option to fit in the package w/ similar results? are you guys getting 363ish results on a dyno?

The Kokeln Stage I and V turbos are not a water jacket turbo. There was a thread a month or so ago on "Kokeln Turbos". It was the usual debate..look it up. I don't track my car nor is it a daily driver, but it is Driven! Water stays in the midrange - upper when in traffic, lower when cruising or driving.

The "package" has repeated the 363hp many times. I went the other day, hit 268hp just on a 3/4 throttle run, the boost gauge was at 12psi, before the O2 wideband went out. The 363 was made with a Web Cam 274 grind cam; I did not purchase that but I opted for a P&P head. I bought the pieces to the "package" before the package was marketed. I go back next week to the dyno.

Sure,,give Dave a call at Lindsey Racing, ask about their race car and then call Rob or Dwain at Vision. I know Dave has no problems with the temps on the their race car because I asked the same question about temps..even though mine wasn't tracked; well not yet anyway. I think temps will be good as long as you have a good radiator, water pump, and larger oil cooler than stock you'll do just fine. One thing I've enjoyed about Lindsey is that everything I have ordered has been in stock and out that day or the next.
