Went to the shop yesterday, my mechanic wanted to show me a few hoses that needed replacing. He said the intake manifold wasn't torqued down, the LR boost enhancer was installed wrong and he said a few hoses were not connected to the right thing. I told him the car was sluggish and he said that wasn't suprising, considering. Overall he said the engine was in great shape and the original turbo was perfect, no play what so ever. He suggested I sell the turbo, but I may keep all the OEM parts incase I ever sell the car.

Me neither. Unfortunately I don't think the car will be ready on Friday. The weather here in Atlanta is lousy this week and he said he won't road tune the car in the rain.

Keep the parts. makes you wonder what a well functioning 951 would feel like?

You REALLY need a new coolant tank to complete that detailed engine bay.

Hey Guys- Just wanted to give an update. I went by the shop today, my car is almost ready. Its a very tight fit under the hood with the LR Super 65 and their Quad MAF. Matthew actually had to do a bit of grinding on the turbo and the altenator so the MAF can be flush and not hit the hood when its closed. The fabspeed exhaust is on with the new DP WG. The AVC-R is installed below the stereo. The only think left to do is finish up some wiring and get it on the dyno at some point tomorrow. Barring any issues, I should have it back on Wednesday.

I will try to make it up there to video the car on the dyno. Depending on what time of the day will determine if I'm free.

What HP is expected?

Have you considered doing an alternator conversion? There's a few guys here who have switched to a Nissan alternator. Can't remember the model off the top of my head, but it's from a van in the 90's if that helps... Either way, if you just search for "nissan alternator", I'm sure that big thread will come up.

Good luck with the tune! And my dearest regards to your wallet.

HAHAHAHAHA Black51. Yes my wallet will be a lot lighter, but life is short, so why not have some fun. Not sure what HP to expect. I'd like 350 rwhp.
