Default My car goes into the Shop today-Updated

After a month or so of ordering parts, its finally time to have everything installed. Below is a current engine picture I took this morning. I'll post a ton more after I get my car back, supposedly on Friday.

Love the paint color and the fact that it doesn't have a sunroof.

What all are you having installed?!

EDIT: Comparing the pic you posted to your signature... Looks like you've got a nice batch of power upgrades! I'm interested in seeing what the numbers will be on a dyno after. Maybe Josh can join and we can all go sometime soon and compare results! My 951 has all the same mods with the exception of exhaust diameter (4" on mine) and turbo (K27/6). My butt dyno says ~300rwhp at 18psi, and given your LR Super 65 will likely have more top end, I'd say you could be confident in expecting at least ~325 rwhp at 18psi...

A host of goodies, basically everything listed in my signature. LR 65 turbo, LR Quad MAF, Mafterburner, Fabspeed exhaust, LR DP Wastegate,, EBC, chips etc.

I'm basically transforming the car

Better have an extra pair of drawers with you when you get it back for the first drive!

Who's doing the install work? Will they be taking the head off for any work like a wide fire headgasket or stronger head studs?

Motorwerks Racing in Cumming is doing the work. Head work is phase 2 along with an intake.

Cool! Josh and I both visited there years ago when Matt Forte had just opened Motorwerks and had a free dyno day. His shop is really nice inside. I've also seen what he's capable of with the demo 951 he brings to Road Atlanta occasionally. Pretty sick builds, and he is very familiar with tuning big-power 951s. I got close to bringing my 951 there recently for some dyno tuning when I was having difficulty getting my Mafterburner curve set right after installing a MAX chip, but thankfully Russel was able to help me figure things out.

Here's a link to the dyno company next door to Matt. It isn't a traditional inertia dyno and Matt said it generally reports about 8% less than on a mustang or dynojet.

Matt is very knowledgeable about our cars. I had a very long talk with him on Friday because I was considering going to another place due to something I will only go into in a PM. At the end of the day, he is the best man for the job and am confident he will do a terrific job.

I will also be taking my car to dynolab in Marietta just to see results on a traditional dyno.

yes...very clean compartment!

I'll be interested in your install. Next weekend I plan to upgrade to a MAF and install 55# inj's (only waiting on inj's or the install would have happened yesterday). You and i have similar parts though you have the larger LR65 and some head work (mine was recently freshened though not modded).

I made 299.8rwhp@14.7. I'm hoping for more w/MAF and inj's at 18psi

Have fun!!!!

I don't have any head work as of yet. Probably a year away from anything else major with the car after this project.

Oh I see...your previous post said phase 2 meaning next mods! A little slow here.

Dave Lindsey predicted 300-310rwhp at 15psi with the LR53 turbo I bought along with my existing mods. Of course that is assuming everything else is in good working order. I had a vacuum/boost issue at the time it hit the dyno. Regardless he was right on the money!

At 4000rpm and above your car is gonna come on hard!
