RC hasn't posted anything about his car old car being hurt. I'll ask him. Are you sure it's his?

That's the word on LS1tech.

Also:

LMR's camaro ran 239 on 20'' wheels. Supposedly didn't floor it till the 1/2 mile.

And a picture on there of the Hinson corvette.

Yes apparently it lost oil pressure, spun a rod bearing. Sucks for the new owner.

interesting...I can see why they would run them as basically it's a one mile drag race so initial acceleration helps.

That seem pretty scary running 200+ w/o a full cage too.

Wait, what? They allow you to run without a full cage at these speeds? I'd like to see the waiver they were passing around...

Default Not sure a tire was blown??

I just talked with a local Vette guy associated with that car. He stated the car didn't blow a tire. He said they ran 226mph (fastest vette?) and then turned the boost up trying to stretch the speed some more.

the car spun the tires and he lost it

Thats the latest somewhat substantiated rumor i have anyway

It sounds like the 1,000hp+ guys need to stop worrying about power and more boost and focus more on better aero/downforce, suspension, traction, etc.

Is this that Camaro?

I can't see the video at work...but that's always the issue with high speed/high HP cars!
