Just received my brand new 968 mirrors from Sunset for $275 total invoice (with PCA $100 discount).
Even at $375 these are TOTALLY and COMPLETELY superior than buying used.
I could have bought used ones for $250 from an individual or for $350 from OKLA parts, WITH SHIPPING 'USED' AT AUTO SALVAGE WAS AS MUCH AS NEW AT SUNSET!
New is 1. already dismantled, primed, and prepped for painting. 2. has wide angle mirror, 3. has brand new motor and other parts instead of old ones.
I really like the wide angle view, aerodynamic style and quiet motor. Thought I'd pass this along to anyone looking for mirror upgrade.

Aren't they great?
Also, Jeff at Sunset does so many 968 door handle upgrades, that he keeps a required parts list on hand. Call up, tell him you want 968 handles, he does all the rest. New, the parts are something like $178.
I just used my PCA coupon to order 968 M030 sways from Sunset. The rear bar (19mm 3-way adj) invoiced for under $100.

Could you weigh these mirrors before you install them please? I'm starting a diet...
Would also be interesting to see wind-tunnel and top-speed tests of before and after 968-mirror upgrades. I know on my motorcycle, removing the mirrors is worth about 5mph more in top-speed.

One step removed from someone very highup in Andial, "the mirrors are good for ~.3 cd less or ~ 3-5 mph @ top speed."
I know, believe 1/2 of what you see and none of what your hear, but this is about as solid as word-of-mouth gets.

Parker Johnstone (honda test driver, former CART driver, mechanical engineer) tested the top speed of the Honda S2000 on Honda's China Lake test track in the California desert. He told my father that with the top down, it was 149 mph, with the top up it was 156 mph, and with the top up and mirrors removed, it was 165 mph.

The mirrors wiegh in at a little over 1.5 lbs, each. The original mirrors, whatever their weight, have the aerodynamics of the front of a bus.
Whatever small gain at top end I'd never see anyway, but driving the streets of New Orleans you can ditch the rear seats, ditch your subwoofer, toss the inflatable tire, put helium in the tires, whatever.........but in New orleans don't ditch the mirrors, the horn,.......or whatever you do......DON'T ditch the A/C!!!

"want a set of turbo cup mirrors then danno?"
Sure! What do they look like?
"He told my father that with the top down, it was 149 mph, with the top up it was 156 mph, and with the top up and mirrors removed, it was 165 mph."
Wow!!! The mirrors alone are worth 9mph on an S2000 ?#?@!? Ok, time to do some top-speed runs after I put in my taller 5th gear.
Steve, your avatar scares me...

968 mirrors are much lighter than original 944 mirrors. 944 are metal but 968 mirror housing is somekind of plastic.
Interesting part of these 968 mirrors is when you drive your window partly open wind comes in differently than with 944 mirrors. I can almost say 944 mirror act nicer...
