Post Fuchs Wheels

does anyone happen to have a close up picture of the Fuchs wheels that came optional on the 951 in 87? i think these are what came on my car, and have since been powder coated black, but im not sure.

Fuchs did not come on late offset cars, they were only an early offset rim.

They might be look alikes, but they were not OEM fuchs.

And to add to what Ian said, I'm not sure I have ever seen a set of "late offset" fake fuchs.

Could your car really be a 1986 model? Or does someone know if they had some "left-over" parts and a few of the early 87 cars got 86 offsets and parts?

Interesting........

Ian is right, fuchs were not a factory option on '87 and later 951's. The optional wheels on the '87, if i'm not mistaken, looked very similar to 928 style flat dish wheels and were forged.

I have seen fuchs on an '87 flamingo metallic 951. They appeared to be custom 3 piece wheels with bolts surrounding the outer edge. Too bad they were beat up and in bad condition. They would have looked fantastic.

Are you talking about this wheel? Fuchs is a manufacturer, I believe they made this style and the "classic" style Ian is thinking of. '87 Turbo's had these as an option, also found on '87+ 928's . .in 7 & 8 x 16

They sound like some sort of aftermarket wheel to me. BBS, Ronal, OZ, all are possibilities...

Take some pics so we can ID them for ya.

Are they any of these?

They were all the 16 inch 5 spoke porsche wheels I could come up with.

I would say no to BBS, because they don't have any 5 spoke rims like that, but it may be Moda (built by BBS) they had a 5 spoke rim similar to that.

Maybe HRE wheels?

<img src="http://hre.adversoft.com/wheels/images/ENLARGE/enlarge-311.jpg" alt=" - " />

Lindsey Racing also sell nice 3-piece rims with real Fuch centers from 16 inch rims, they weigh about 15lbs each. The centers can be painted.
