Default Name that problem(Video)

Cam tower not working? My guess is the lifters. What say you?

It looks like there's oil starvation.

Sounds just like mine did. This racket went on for a while(maybe 30 mins, then went away). Hasn't come back.

Notice how it sounds better with some RPM? I just did more of that....

Oil, or more precisely, lack thereof.

This isnt a video of my car, although it does sound similar. I am slightly worried with the sounds it makes, but yes the cam tower was taken off(and left off for some time) and now it sounds like this.

If the cam tower was taken off and left for some time, then you need to give it some time running before those lifters can pump up.

They are hydraulic so the need oil. Crank her up and then let it run for a bit and see if the problem goes away. It's not going to blow your car up, but make sure that the car has oil and there is oil pressure first.

+1 on lack of oil. Have a good look at your oiling system and make sure it is running properly.

Did they put a tractor engine in it? That sounds like the problem...

I use to put lifters in chevy trucks. Even when you presoak them in oil and install them, they still sound like you left a wrench in the cylinder for about 20 min. How long has the car ran like that?

Our cars don't run on diesel....

Id check how much oil you've got and it's probably old and real thin.
