Post Timing belt

Hi Guys,

me again from panama. Well, the deal is on, i am fighting two fronts, the wife and the bank.. MAN..does she want me to buy a rice burner...!!!!!

Anyway, all this talk about timing belt has made me nervous, i called the mechanic who is checking the car to ask about the timing belt. He said no Problem there, looks fine, in any case he would call the previous owner who to ask when he changed it. The car has 43K.....

Should i change it just to be on the safe side??

Thanx

If you cannot find and documentation of a recent belt change, I'd change it.....

I agree. That is what I did when I bought my car 4 years ago. I had the belt and all rollers replaced. I also changed the water hoses.

No sense in risking it. The result can be very devastating.
