I used a oil-cooled Turbonetics on my 951/968. I don't know the impeller sizes. One of the issues has to do with clearance of the turbo housing. We tried 3-4 different turbos before we got close with the Turbonetics. Still we had to do some grinding to make it work though.

We use a Garrett from Braodfoot Racing in the 3L that he built for us. The turbo is based on a T04 60-1 HiFi. We used to run it at 1.5 bar (22lbs) and it was enough power to smoke the tires up through third gear. We normaly run it at 16lbs for DE and it is extremely quick then. We figure at full boost over 550hp... with an Electromotive system and 8v head.
