M Danger,
I have the Technodyne BB that Chris at Technodyne fab'd. It is not a bolt on.(it might be now) It still has oil and water feeds. The car doesn't smoke and runs like a stocker till you are on boost. The a/f is correct with 1000cc injectors and he has done a couple of things to the EM. I run 1.7-1.8 bar "only" yes that is 25-26.5PSI (race gas) all year round even in the 100+ degree weather. The oil temp in traffic is around 220, the water runs about at the 1/2 mark with the a/c on.
I have had Powerhaus K27DR "quick Spool" 280WHP, K27#8 320-330WHP and now the Technodyne setup.
400WHP/420lbs (365WHP on pump) from a turbo change along with injectors, some EM mods and tuning. It spools as fast if not faster than the K27#8. 80WHP
I still don't get the quick spool thing?
If you are changing the turbo I would assume it is to get more power to go faster. The next time I race someone to 20MPH I'll wish I had still had it!

You can't compare apple to oranges regarding boost levels running 25psi on this turbo is like running a K27#8 w/20PSI. It is not the PSI that would cause problems if you tried to run 25psi on a K27#8 it is the air getting heated too much that it would cause detonation.
So when guys compare hp/trq/boost numbers you have to look at what you can safely get with your setup. So 20PSI is max that I would run with race gas when the K27 was on and now with the more effecient turbo I can run 25psi at the same safety level.
It all has to be a complete package.
Like Joe's 3.0 ltr that David at Powerhaus biult very nice but out of my price range for now.
I would guess $20K for the motor 485WHP with a warranty.
Technodyne has some dyno charts and some articles regarding the different turbos, ect... MYTH'S
and a article on mine and another 2.5ltr.
If you are seriously going to buy a turbo call them.

Yes, "PK951".......
but I think Chris posted something stating what kind of turbo the 400WHP setup uses a while ago???
I will say that the turbo is so friggin big that part of my mass flow and whole filter shoot straight up out of the hood you know like a snorkle but what is really cool is that it gave me a place to mount some more neon lights on the car. Plus after watching the recent F1 race I realized that I needed another spoiler so...I now might be able able to mount another mini spoiler on the flat end of the K&N filter to get some more down force. I can't wait to run the car down the strip. I hope they will let me this time! Last time they told me I had to remove the curb feelers but since my "chrome" side pipes are so long I couldn't get the curb feelers off?

Im looking for more than 400RWP on pump gas, maybe with a little rocket juice added.

Sorry Dude!!!
Call the source if you want to BUY one......
Technodyneracing.com

With a 2.5 liter on pump gas I don't think it is going to happen, at least not for very long.
Now a 3.0 ltr??? I think the dyno test for the Powerhaus motor was with some race gas but maybe he will share what it made on pump.

Ya know Chris tested this setup to distruction and that costs a lot of money. I paid a chunk of change for it. Why should I just post that for everyone to have for free? Fabbing the system, doing whatever he does to make it work took a lot of time, money and effort besides all of the experience in tuning that you must do to get it right.
I personally wouldn't give all that up to everyone that asks. I think that is why a lot people think some of the tuners have attitudes. I would too if poeple called all the time wanting free info and don't buy anything or even know the person they are calling. Just taking up their time. Just remember it is their business.... our hobby
: )

Paul

I'm at 385HP to the wheels, SAE corrected on a dynojet 248C on 91 octane at 15psi with a 2.5L engine.

Yes it can happen...

I'm "knocking" on the 400HP door.

I think an aftermarket intercooler will put me there.

That is awesome! What do you think was the key to getting power with your setup? I really havn't been following many of the turbo threads for a while cause I'm more interested in finding 5WHP in my 944-spec car right now.

Paul

It's taken a lot of work over and above the typical bolt-on stuff:

As far as spool up time... it was non-existent in his car. I didn't look at the tach (too busy looking out for traffic), but it felt like it was an NA motor with a nice steady power curve. I am definitely considering one of these turbos now that I need one.

Assuming the GT30R would be the SFR stage 2 why do we have to pay $ 2,000 when other sources are offering it for $ 1,350?

Iguess the answer to why you would pay $2,000 at SFR is his profit nargin.AT 1350 THAT seems like a faire price to pay,you want to make be sure the flanges bolt up.it pays to shop around there are lots of venders for our cars.i did some searching, and found places where i could get a to4e for 1500$ CAN.in us money thats 38% less.

EXACTLY, but OOOH everything is a secret, we cant tell you!, F*CK that, and TEchnodyne TOO. He Paul 375 hp is nice but its nothing special, so i dont see what the deal about what turbo you got is either since thats not enough for me. and id only be using it as a reference.

But again FU&lt;K' EM! Ill just do it my self, and do it better,(as I always do)

Im real tired of the 951 tuning attitudes.

I might just sart my own shop and Ill hook all of you up! <img border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" title="" src="graemlins/bigok.gif" />
