Hell if it's only $75, I'll definitely buy it new. Last I checked they clock in at ~$250 though right?

Do you remember where you saw this?

I think the steering shaft is unavailable...

A cheaper solution: https://rennlist.com/forums/944-turb...to-manual.html

Thanks for the link. This was actually my first thought (I do have access to a machine shop and welder) but unfortunately I have no time! I suppose I may have to do this now...

About how much longer is the Manual shaft than the PS one?

Good thing it's winter and the car is currently sitting in the garage, ready to be worked on.

One related but not on-topic question: is the aluminum bracket that holds the rack to the X-Member the same for PS and Manual racks (there are two of them that clamp down on rubber bushings)? I know that the rubber bushing is different, but I wanted to confirm the bracket itself is universal (I'd like to reuse my PS ones...

Yes, the brackets to clamp to the cross member are the same for both power and manual racks. I re-used the power brackets on my manual rack.

About an inch...

Yup. If I recall, the rubber bushing on the side closest to the input shaft is the same. Or, more specifically, I have the delrin bushing, and I don't remember doing any modifications to it to make it fit the manual rack.

It is one inch difference. I measured both of them outside the car. Another option is to make one with aftermarket splined U-joints and a shaft cut to length. It is almost as expensive to do that as it is to buy one, but you would have new vs 20ish year old U-joints.
