Angry Turbo Bolt?

How in gods name do you get the bolt back into the hole coming from the bottom of the turbo (the 8mm x 125mm bolt that comes from the bottom)?
I had to cut the head off of the old one because it wouldn't budge, but now how the $%^#* do I get it back in, it hits the steering rod and u-joint?

Help!!

Thanks,

Does the rack have to dropped completely or can it be rocked one way or the other or shifted a bit?
Or would it be easier to loosen the motor mounts and move engine up a little (assuming rack is not attached to the engine at any point)?

The rack doesn't seem like it would need to be dropped the whole wat just enough to clear the steering, correct?

Thanks,

BTDT, just rock the rack a little and the bolt will go in.

I bought new 12.9 bolts used plenty of anti-seize and 15 lbs to tighten.

Good luck

You're supposed to have the bolt through the hole, before you drop the turbo down.

Then you the bolt will "fall down" a little, but won't come out.

I've made this mistake too.
