That's some serious power.
Vic did some tests with a 50 trim #8 and made 315-320 rwhp at 18 psi with 45 psi back pressure. the #10 had 35 psi back pressure on ~330whp and when he did the test on the GT30R on 18 psi he got 22psi back pressure and over 350rwhp. and the obvious less backpressure means you can run more boost with out blowing headgaskets.

The KKK hotside sucks. I used that, then went to a .63 Garrett housing and it made power across the entire rev range above the KKK #8. Really, I would go for a GT30 all day long if possible...

yeah, If you seen my last post, there's abit of pressure tests vic done with the kkk hot housing. I'm waiting an email from him for more info in his GT30R "bolt on kit" info. i'm most likley getting the GT30R if he goes with the kit. If not ill buy the turbo and do it my self and possibly get vic to make up some mounts and custom lines, since hie's running the same turbo on his car.

Ah yup, makes sense. At the end of the day an oil line and flange is extremely easy to change for the difference a good turbo will make. Have you seen the new Garrett range? The GTX stuff...

Yep the 11 blade series. they clame 10% better spool times.
TiAL have those turbos also with the TiAL hot housings with the Vband flanges also.
And it looks like it's around 1300 each.

If i can get someone to make me a mount to mount the turbo and find a local TiAL distributor, everything else would be sweet.

Don't bother dealing with the local distributor. You will get better price and service if buy from the US. atpturbo can deliver in under a week.

Thanks for that site. Did you made a custom mount to mount the turbo. or how did you mount it?

Thanks,

Edit: i priced something up with that site. $2000 for a GTX3076R/TiAL hot housing, Vband flanges and Vband clamps.

If you are looking at the gtx it might be worth considering the gtx3071r. It has the power of the gt3076 but with a smaller wheel so should be more responsive. A gtx with a tial housing is not a budget choice.
I have a modified stock mount, but it was modified a lot as I run a twin scroll housing.

I'm not to sure if i want to get the gtx or the gt. the TiAL housing is another $100 more then the garrett one. I need to look into it more.

When do you get 1 bar with the turbo your running and what's your A/R

aparently a gt3078 with a .63 A/R will do 1 bar at 3000-3200 rpm

Not many gtx turbos out there at the moment, so not much info on them. My 3071 1 bar number was around 3300 on the dyno, the 3076 produces bigger power, but less responsive, as I said the gtx3071 could combine the two.

I actually run a forced performance turbo now,hta3073, it has a gt30 chra/turbine, I use a 1.06 twin scroll housing, it is abigger a/r than a comparable open housing.

You know my set up and spool isn't really a problem.

Talk to Vic or Bob Boyer about the Tial mount for the BB Garrett. I know Bob has one in his car and it looks very nice. There are several posts on here about this same mount. For sure this is the best mount for that turbo. I have an old ceramic BB Huntley Racing/Turbonetics turbo. I will be installing it soon, just because I have it and it doesn't cost my anything. If not, I would go with the Tial mount and GTX series. Vic is a great guy and very sharp on our cars. I just installed his wastegate package and what a huge difference.

This http://www.034motorsport.com/turboch...l-p-20077.html should bolt on to the stock mount, only need to modify downpipe, crossover and oil if that is the case.
